Fannie Grizzard Bond, 97, died April 1, 1997.
Mrs. Bond, a native of Sussex County, was the widow of Oliver Lee Bond.
Survivors include a daughter, Annie B. Sawyer of Portsmouth; five sons, Lee J. Bond of Belhaven, N.C., Robert E. Bond, Lawrence M. Bond, Leonard G. Bond and Richard F. Bond, all of Portsmouth; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Tom Potter. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Friends may join the family today from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home, and other times at 247 Cypress Circle, Portsmouth. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
