Betty Maxine Carter, 63, of the 800 block of Bainbridge Blvd. died April 2, 1997.
A retired manager for AT&T with 31 years service, she was a South Norfolk native and a member of Pioneers.
Survivors include her husband, Clemoth E. Carter; daughter, Karen L. Lyon of Chesapeake; mother, Maxine Midgette Stubbs of Chesapeake; three sisters, Linda Castaneda of Charlotte, N.C., Rita White and Shirley Moyer, both of Chesapeake; two brothers, Murray Jack Stubbs of Salisbury, N.C., and Carl Stubbs of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, Matthew Lyon and Loren Betty Lyon, both of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Jasper ``Pete'' Taylor. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
