TAKE IT EASY ON FEET, PURCHASE PARKING PERMIT

If you want to get close to the action at the Spring Spectacular when you park, spend the $10 for a preferred parking permit that gets you get the same parking that's reserved for volunteers all three days of the event.

Or you can skip the $10 and park about a half mile away, or in someone's yard nearby, and hoof it to the Spectacular.

The $10 stickers are on sale at six Sentry Food Mart locations in Suffolk.

General parking is at least a half-mile from the site entrance, said Linda Stevens, director of Suffolk Fest, sponsor of Spring Spectacular. ``The preferred parking is a whole lot more convenient, a much closer walk.

General parking is $5 per day.

Three-day preferred parking passes are available at these Sentry Food Mart locations:

No. 1 at 2332 Pruden Blvd.,

No. 7 at 1125 Wilroy Road

No. 8 at 2865 Pruden Blvd.

No. 12 at 1160 Portsmouth Blvd.

No. 13 at 819 West Washington St. and
