FRANK R. BRUNELL

Frank Robert Brunell, 61, died Friday, April 4, 1997, in Corapeake, N.C.

Mr. Burnell was born in Northampton County, Pa., and was the son of the late Paul and Helen Lippincott Brunell. He was also predeceased by a son, Kenneth E. Brunell. Mr. Brunell was a long-distance driver with the US Xpress Corp. He had also been a route carrier with The Virginian-Pilot and The Ledger-Star for 16 years serving over 700 residences. Mr. Brunell had retired from the U.S. Navy as both a Korean and Vietnam veteran after 22 years of service. Memberships include the Fleet Reserve, Branch 166; American Legion, Post 1981 and the Virginia Beach Bus Association. Mr. Brunell also served as a football coach with the Virginia Beach City League. He was a Presbyterian.

Survivors include his wife, Etta Sarah Teabo Brunell; his daughter, Terry E. Miller of Corapeake; his son, Dean W. Brunell of Orange Park, Fla.; a sister, Nancy Jones of Absecon, N.J.; two brothers, Paul Brunell of Flagler Beach, Fla., Robert Brunell of St. Augustine, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. Ralph R. Herbert. Burial will follow with military honors in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Following the interment the family will receive friends at the funeral home until 4:30 p.m.

Viewing will begin on Monday with the family receiving friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, 601 Childrens Lane, Norfolk, Va. 23507. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
