LILLIE P. JOHNSON

Lillie Peden Johnson, 76, of the 100 block of Underwood Lane, died Sunday, April 6, 1997, in her home.

Mrs. Johnson, a native of Isle of Wight, retired from General Electric in 1985 with 15 1/2 years of service in production. She was a member of Central Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Johnson Sr.; a son, James W. Peden of Battery Park; four daughters, Mary P. Humphries of Macon, Ga., Jo P. Carter of Rescue, Anne P. Ramsey of Battery Park and Nancy P. Hobson of Smithfield; a stepson, Edward Johnson Jr., and stepdaughter, Nancy O'Berry, both of Franklin; a sister, Josie S. Nurney of Smithfield; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Central Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Olson officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
