MARY J. FLEMMING

Mary Jones Flemming, 92, of the 800 block of Shell Road, died Saturday, April 5, 1997.

Mrs. Flemming was born in Pasquotank County, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Josiah and Sophie Louise Jones. She was the widow of Willie M. Flemming and was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church and had also been a member of the Deep Creek Senior Citizens.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Alice Hodge, and her husband, Lee A., of Chesapeake; her two sons, Willard Flemming and his wife, Bertha, of Winchester, Va., Joe Flemming and his wife, Connie, of Chesapeake; two sisters, Lois Satmaria of Orlando, Fla., and Ilma Allen of Baltimore; two brothers, Luther N. Jones of Weeksville, N.C., and Irving W. Jones of Elizabeth City; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Deep Creek Baptist Church by Dr. Roscoe A. Musselwhite and the Rev. Ernie Myers. Interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
