BRENDA C. KENNEDY

Brenda Copeland Kennedy, 53, of the 3000 block of Providence Road, died Saturday, April 5, 1997, in Obici Hospital.

Mrs. Kennedy was born in Isle of Wight County and was retired as a nurse's aide from Obici Hospital after 15 years. She was a member of Colosse Baptist Church in Isle of Wight County.

Survivors include her husband, Billy M. Kennedy Sr.; two sons, Ricky S. Kennedy of Fayetteville, N.C., and Billy M. Kennedy Jr. of Suffolk; her mother, Annie Babb Copeland of Windsor; three brothers, Royce G. Copeland, William B. Copeland and John S. Copeland, all of Windsor; four grandchildren, Shannon R. Saunders, Nicholas Young Kennedy, Autumn Kennedy and Hannah Kennedy. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Kennedy, and her father, G. Staley Copeland.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Lee Bowers. Burial will be in Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home, and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Colosse Baptist Church Building Fund. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
