MACIE B. SIZER

Macie Doris Brooks Sizer, 63, died April 10, 1997, in her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

The daughter of Daisy B. Brooks and the late William H. Brooks Sr., she was born in Lynchburg, Va. She is survived by her sister, Dianna L. McCulloch and brothers, William H. Brooks Jr. and Raymond L. Brooks; daughter-in-law of Nina O. Sizer and the late Toby Sizer. She was preceeded in death by her loving husband, Stover L. Sizer Jr. Macie was the loving mother of Dan R. Spradlin, Thomas G. Spradlin Jr., Donald C. Spradlin and Brenda G. Horwitz; mother-in-law to Karen G. Spradlin, Robin N. Spradlin and Dr. Abbey Horwitz; stepmother to Debi Sizer Todd and Carl L. Sizer; grandmother to Wesley and Mark Spradlin and Michael Shayna and Jonathan Horwitz. Macie will be greatly missed by all her loving family and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon Monday, April 14, in Whitten Funeral Home, Lynchburg, where visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in Virginia Beach at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. John's Baptist Church Building Fund, 2300 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23456. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
