Luther ``Butch'' Garland Draper Jr., 43, of the 500 block of Turlington Road died Friday, April 11, 1997, in Obici Hospital.

A native of Suffolk, he is survived by his mother, Retha Lassiter Draper of Suffolk; sister, Mary Elizabeth Small of Suffolk; two nieces, Deborah A. Small and Sandra S. Luter, both of Suffolk; a great-niece and nephew; and several aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father, Luther Garland Draper Sr.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Milwaukee Cemetery, Milwaukee, N.C., by the Rev. Stewart R. McCarter. Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home is in charge. Visitation will be at the residence. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
