NELLIE S. BISHOP

Nellie S. Bishop, 58, died April 11, 1997, in Lake Taylor Hospital.

She was born in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. She was a member of Living Word Pentecostal Holiness Church and was very active in promoting world missions at her church.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda G. Melton and her husband Barry of Cleveland, Tenn., and Sandra Norris and her husband Thomas of Virginia Beach; a son, Johnny R. Bishop and his wife Susan of Fairfield, Maine; a brother, Wayne Wylie of Clintonville, W.Va.; and four grandchildren, Jonathan, Bryan, Lauren Bishop and Ronnie Norris.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Living Word Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Dayton Birt. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Living Word Missions Fund.
