VIOLET B. SCOTT

Violet Bolton Scott, 89, died April 13, 1997.

A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Baker and Rebecca Welch Davidson and widow of Leslie Scott. She was a retired sales clerk from Leggett's and a member of Suffolk Christian Church, where she was active in the West Memorial Bible Class, the Woman's Fellowship and Senior Citizens of the church. She was a former Sunday School teacher and former active member of many committees of the church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Bolton and Willard S. Moger Jr., June Bolton and Fenton L. Beale; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Moger, Robin Moger Nelhuebel, Wendy Beale, Sandy Beale Jones and Kevin Lee Beale; and six great-grandchildren, Donnie and Courtney Brock, Summer and Bryce Jones, Kitt Moger and Kyle Nelhuebel, all of Suffolk.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Suffolk Christian Church by Dr. Michael D. Halley with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
