James Carl Crowe, 83, of the 100 block of Snead Fairway died Sunday, April 13, 1997, in Suffolk.
A native of Marion County, Ala., he was retired as a supervisor from Shop 38, Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Airline Blvd. Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth G. Crowe; a daughter, Linda E. Sterling of Aiken, S.C.; a son, Carl T. Crowe of Chesapeake; a sister, Willett Kirkwood of Little Rock, Ark.; and five wonderful grandchildren, Jeffery C. Crowe, Jonathan Sterling, Jennifer E. Sterling, Kimberly C. Dunlow and Ashley E. Crowe.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Ministers Bill Bates and Jimmie Gribble. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
