GWENDOLYN C. MILLIGAN

Gwendolyn Chambers Milligan, of Glenoak Drive, died April 12, 1997, at her residence.

A native of Norfolk, she was a school cafeteria manager for the Norfolk Public School School System, retiring 24 years ago with 28 years of service. She was a member of St. John's A.M.E. Norfolk, the Women's Missionary Society and Shut In Club. She was the widow of William H. Milligan Sr. and daughter of the late Anna H. Chambers and John H. Chambers

Survivors include a daughter, Gwendolyn M. Johnson; a son, William H. Milligan Jr.; two sisters, Elsie R. Chambers and Alice C. Bullock; two grandchildren, William H. Milligan III, Terri M. Lassiter; and nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in St. John's A.M.E. Church, Bute St., Norfolk, by the Rev. I.W. Knight. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Organ Fund Drive of St. John's A.M.E. Church. The body will be placed in church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
