GERTRUDE V. TAYLOR

Gertrude V. Taylor, 60, of the 1700 block of Princeton Ave., died April 12, 1997, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

She was retired from Westville Correctional Center in Westville, Ind. Ms. Taylor was the daughter of the late Emmett and Carrie Holmes. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by a sister, Mable Russell; a brother-in-law, Keith Russell Jr.; six nieces, Jeannette Williams, Joyce Webster, Jacqueline Jackson, Iris Heath, Gale Russell and Louvenia Smith; a nephew, George Scruggs; an aunt and uncle, Frank and Marie Curry; and a host of family and friends.

Services will be conducted at noon Thursday in Graves Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Peter Wherry. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens. The family will gather at 1726 Princeton Ave., Norfolk. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
