KENNETH H. ROBERTS

Kenneth ``Kenny'' Hayes Roberts, 45, of the 3700 block of Marilyn Lane, died April 14, 1997, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

He was born in Elizabeth City, N.C., on Feb. 6, 1952. Mr. Roberts was employed with General Elevator Co. as an elevator technician. He was president of the International Union of Elevator Constructors, Local 52. He was a member of the Wild Fowl Museum and Back Bay Wild Life Guild. He attended Great Bridge Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann Roberts of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Ann and Jessica Lynn Roberts of the home; a son, Kenneth Hayes Roberts Jr. of Richmond; his father and mother, Oscar W. and Jimmie P. Roberts of Chesapeake; a sister, Teresa Lewis of Wytheville, Va.; and two brothers, Wilson Glenn Roberts of Chesapeake and Mark K. Roberts of Elizabeth City.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Twiford Funeral Home by the Rev. Fred Bates. Burial will follow in Cava Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends for visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Twiford Funeral Home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
