On April 14, 1997, Elizabeth Elliott departed this life in a local hospital. She formerly lived at 1720 Berkley Ave.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Thomas AME Zion Church, 1700 Melon St., Norfolk, by Dr. G.L. Scott. The family will receive friends at a wake to be held today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the church from noon until 1 p.m. the day of the service. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will meet at the church the day of the service.
