Louise Churchill Wood of the 1200 block of Burlington Road died April 15, 1997, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.

A Norfolk native, she was the widow of Roy Edward Wood and a member of Community United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her sister, Doris Churchill Fox of Virginia Beach; numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Jean McDonald. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times in her residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Louise C.
