GEORGE R. SPEROS

George R. Speros, 88, died April 16, 1997, in his residence.

Mr. Speros was a native of Pottsville, Pa., and a resident of Norfolk for most of his life. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Norfolk. He was General Sales Manager of General Baking Co. for 25 years and most recently retired from Mary Jane Bakery as Vice President of Sales after 15 years of employment.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Mary Colella Speros; a daughter, Dolores Speros Parker of Greensboro, N.C.; a son, George R. Speros Jr. of Lakeland, Fla.; two sisters, Pauline S. Murray of Richmond, Lucille S. McClain of Norfolk; two brothers, Arthur Speros and Clifford Speros, both of Norfolk; and three grandchildren, Pamela Jean Parker, Carol Rennesund and Barbara Speros.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. April 18 at St. Pius X Catholic Church by Father William Dale. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Sentara Hospice Program. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
