MILFORD A. STEIN

Milford A. Stein, 90, of the 400 block of Brackenridge Ave., died April 17 at his home.

Mr. Stein was born in Warrenton, Va. He was the widower of the late Dorothy Hirschler Stein. Mr. Stein was associated with Hofheimer's Inc. for more than 60 years, serving as general manager. He was a lifelong member of Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk. He was a member of the Downtown Norfolk Kiwanis Club for more than 40 years and was a prior board member of the Norfolk Symphony. In his later years he was a volunteer in the Development office of Old Dominion University.

Survivors include his sons, Alan Stein and his wife, Brenda of Virginia Beach, Bobby Stein of Virginia Beach; his devoted brother and sister-in-law, Nancy and Lewis Hirschler; his grandchildren, Andrew D. Stein, John C. Stein and his wife Diane, Robert L. Stein Jr., Richard B. Stein, Robyn S. Stein; his great-grandchildren, Hannah E. and Brantley A. Stein; his nephews, Lewis D. Hirschler Jr., Dr. David S. Hirschler II, Dale Stein, John A. Stein Jr.; his niece, Mrs. June Saks, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Norfolk Chapel by Rabbi Lawrence A. Forman and Cantor Jennifer Bern-vogel. Memorial donations may be made to the Old Dominion University Intercollegiate Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of South Hampton Roads or to a charity of donor's choice. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
