CLORA O. MCPHERSON

Clora Oletha ``Cora'' McPherson, 71, of the 100 block of Oceanside Court died April 14, 1997, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

A native of Como, N.C., she was the widow of Willie McPherson and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Mrs. McPherson was retired.

Survivors include her seven daughters, Otelia M. Taylor, Diane L. Olds, Veronica Harrell, Sandra McPherson and Willhemina McPherson, all of Virginia Beach, Alice M. Joyner of Baltimore, Barbara E. McPherson of Brooklyn, N.Y.; son, William McKinley McPherson of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Espert M. Williams of Suffolk and Mable L. Picot of Franklin; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Gloria and Oray McPherson; and a host of relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Onie Parham Myrick and Maxwell Myrick.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 1997, in Mount Olive Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Interment will be in Mill Neck Baptist Church Cemetery, Como. Family will be receiving friends for visitation today from 7 to 9 p.m. in P.G. Thomasson Funeral Services Inc. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. in Mill Neck Baptist Church Cemetery, Como, Saturday, April 19, 1997. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
