LOIS F. ROULSTONE

Lois Flood Roulstone passed away peacefully in her sleep April 17, 1997, at home. The youngest daughter of Ivan and Henrietta Flood, Lois was born Feb. 14, 1925, in White Plains, N.Y. She attended and graduated from schools in White Plains and married her high school sweetheart Dec. 29, 1945. She leaves her husband of 51 years, Capt. Don John ``Jack'' Roulstone of Virginia Beach; sons and daughters-in-law, Capt. Bruce and Hannah Roulstone, defense attache to the Netherlands, Capt. Doug and Bonnie Roulstone, commanding officer of the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) and CWO3 (ret.) Keith and Annette Roulstone of Lockport, La. She was the beloved grandmother to Ginger Roulstone of Jacksonville, Fla., Brian Roulstone of Orlando, Fla., Whitney and Harrison Roulstone of Virginia Beach and Andrew Roulstone of Lockport.

A Navy wife for 30 years, she traveled to many duty stations and was very active in Officers Wives Clubs as a leader and an adviser. She volunteered for many years as a Gray Lady at Boone Clinic, and for the Republican Party in many different capacities. She also was an avid golfer, bridge and Mahjong player and belonged to the Broad Bay Greens Golf and Country Club, Cypress Point Golf and Country Club and Army Navy Country Club.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor, strength and positive outlook on life.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 21, 1997, at 10 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, Virginia Beach. Friends and family are invited to come to the home after the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Lost Chord Association of Virginia, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
