JON S. SHADE

Jon Scott Shade, 54, died April 17, 1997.

Born in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Virginia Beach. He was a retired sales associate of Remax Alliance and a a member of Honda Riders of Tidewater, called The Roadrunners.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine S. Shade; a daughter, Karine L. Mikesell and husband, Todd J. of Caldwell, Idaho; a son, Jon S.P. Shade and wife, Stephanie R.N., of Suffolk; mother, Juanita D. Shade of Newark, Del.; a sister, Nancy Gauer of Eaton, Ohio; three brothers, Phillip Shade of Brookfield, Conn., Victor Shade of Salt Lake City, Utah and Dr. Daniel Shade of Newark, Del.; six grandchildren, Sierra Shade, Amanda Shade, Dason Shade, Briona Shade, Virginia Lee Mikesell and Kalene Dawn Mikesell and one on the way; an aunt, Selma Hayden of McLean, Va.; and father-in-law, Richard Swick of Sacramento, Calif.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by Bishop John Christen presiding and Elder Dr. Daniel D. Shade conducting. Burial will be in Queens Point Cemetery, Kyser, W.Va., at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 22. The family will receive friends at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
