James Henry Perry, 63, of the 700 block of Endicotte Drive died April 17, 1997, in a Portsmouth hospital.
A native of Colerain, N.C., he was a retired woodcraftman for Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Perry; a daughter, Lou Ann Riposa; a brother, Bud Perry of Chesapeake; a grandchild; eight nieces and nephews; 12 great-nieces and nephews; three great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, James H. Perry Jr.
His parents, Henry Perry and Lettie B. Perry are deceased.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Chaplain William Baughan. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
