Denis Anthony Wilson, 80, of Upper Chelsea Reach died April 16, 1997, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Wilson was a native of Liverpool, England, and served in the British Army during World War II. He had a long distinguished career in accounting, he was one of the founding partners of Goodman and Company CPA's. He was involved in many charitable organizations and was the treasurer of Catholic Charities of Hampton Roads.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Howard Bailey Wilson; one sister, Sister Anthony of Liverpool, England; four sons, Gerald E. Wilson, his wife, Barbara and their children, Justin and Lindsay, all of Irvine, Calif., Thomas H. Wilson, his wife, Rosemary and their children, Kari and Sarah, all of Virginia Beach, Stephen A. Wilson of Los Angeles, Calif., John Gregory Wilson and his daughter, Emily of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, April 21, 1997, at Star of the Sea Catholic Church by Fr. James Dorson and Fr. Paul Gaughan. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Newsoms Cemetery, Southampton County, Va. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 until 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Catholic Charities of Hampton Roads or to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad. H.D.
