EMMA S. EARNHART

Emma S. Earnhart of the 2200 block of Rocking Chair Lane, passed away Friday in her home. She was the widow of Frederick E. Earnhart. A native of Erwin, N.C., she resided in Virginia Beach for 47 years and was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Frederick E. Earnhart Jr. and his wife, Marie Engel Earnhart of Alexandria; daughter, Marsha E. Dudley and her husband, Michael, of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Thomas L. Sewell of Raleigh, N.C., and Robert C. Sewell of W. Palm Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Ryan Elizabeth Andrews, Mary Whitney and Chandler Earnhart.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, with Pastor Tommy Taylor officiating. The burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Courthouse Volunteer Rescue Squad or a favorite charity.
