MARTHA B. GODWIN

Martha Frances Bailey Godwin, 84, a retired teacher and the widow of Davis Lee Godwin, died April 19, 1997, in Obici Hospital.

Mrs. Godwin was a native of Windsor. She was a member of Windsor Christian Church, the Windsor Homemaker Club, the Woman's Club of Windsor and the Young at Heart Club. She was a graduate of Harrisonburg State Teachers College (JMU).

Survivors include two daughters, Martha Godwin Pendleton and her husband, Charles, of Pikeville, Ky., and Frances Godwin Brooks and her husband, Thomas, of Rockville, Va.; and devoted friends, Benji and Joyce Copeland of Windsor.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Basil L. Ballard. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Christian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 407, Windsor, Va. 23487, or to the Windsor Rescue Squad, 19 E.
