J. Lee Fowler, a native of Franklin, Va., died April 16, 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Fowler; his children, Kathleen Bolden, Joseph Fowler Jr., Jane Petrilla, Michael and Matthew Fowler; his sisters, Ruby Pierce of Suffolk and Lelia Farmer of Franklin and seven grandchildren.
