MARY A. SCHMIDT

Mary M. Schmidt, 80, died April 22, 1997, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

Mrs. Schmidt was a native of Williamsport, Pa. She was the widow of John F. Schmidt and the daughter of the late Joseph Miele and Angeline DiMartino Miele. She was a member of Church of The Holy Family in Virginia Beach. Mrs. Schmidt was instrumental in the development and success of Zero's Subs.

Survivors include two sons, John A. Schmidt and Gene T. Schmidt, both of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren, Cathleen Gormley, John A. Schmidt Jr., Theresa J. Schmidt, Joseph M. Schmidt, Rachael M. Schmidt, Tony A. Schmidt; and five sisters, Carmen DiSanto of New Cumberland, Pa., Lucy Kuehn of Foster City, Calif., Ida Gorasi of Williamsport, Pa., Joyce Palacios of Virginia Beach and Adeline Loftus of Rockville, Md.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Church of The Holy Family by Fr. Richard Mooney. Burial will be at Princess Anne Memorial Park.

A Christian Wake service will be said today at 7:30 in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. The family will be at 2500 Johnsonton Court, Virginia Beach, 23454. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
