Edith Pratt ``Patty'' Masterson, serving as a mentor for a generation of students, stimulating both their intellectual and their moral growth at the Country Day School for Girls and Norfolk Academy, died Sunday, April 20, at the age of 75.

Patty is survived by her five children, Linda S. Masterson of Abiquiu, N.M., Karen and her husband, Joel Graves, of Chesapeake, Va., Dana and her husband Rodger Hayne and their sons, Azeez and Rafi of Philadelphia, Christopher R. Masterson and his children, Katherine and Christopher; his fiancee, Lewellen Harrison and her daughter, Blair Whitley, all of Virginia Beach, Patrick Masterson and his wife, Anne of Virginia Beach.

A memorial service will be conducted at Norfolk Academy on Sunday, April 27, at 1 p.m. The family will meet with friends at a reception following the service.
