Mary E. Christian, 49, of the 1700 block of South St. died April 23, 1997, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
A native of Portsmouth, she is survived by her daughter, Angela Sykes of Portsmouth; son, Frank Parker Jr. of Murfreesboro, N.C.; mother, Annie E. Hendricks of Portsmouth; two sisters, Lucille Thomas of Newport News and Patricia Adeleye of Hampton; four brothers, William Johnson, Curtis Hendricks, Jesse Hendricks and Charles Hendricks, all of Portsmouth; two grandchildren; two aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Lawsey S. Thomas Sr. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hampton. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, will begin at noon Sunday. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
