CATHERINE D. CAPPS

Catherine Shirley D. Capps, 83, of the 700 block of Leonard Road, died April 24, 1997, in her residence.

Born in West Virginia, she was the widow of Jesse M. Capps. Mrs. Capps was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church, the Senior Citizen Bowling League and a retired sales clerk for J.C. Penney.

Survivors include a daughter, Patti A. Casiano of Norfolk; a son, Michael Capps of Norfolk; a granddaughter, Alaina Casiano of Norfolk; three nieces and five nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Jay Slater and the Rev. John D. Sykes. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery at a later date. The family will be at her daughter's residence, 1540 Springmeadow Blvd., Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
