Addie Tew Elliott, 89, of 400 block of Painter St., died April 26, 1997, in a local nursing home.
Born in Sampson County, N.C., she was a beautician and sales lady for Sarah Cohen with 27 years of service. She was a member of Ocean View Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, Old Dominion Chapter.
Survivors include a sister, Adelle Mitchell of San Antonio; nieces, Kay Bieberdorf of Austin, Texas, Pat Gaston of Manhattan, N.Y.; nephew, Harry Sterns Mitchell of San Antonio; and special loving niece and nephew, John and Barbara Robinson of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Carl Cooper. The family will receive friends in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 6 to 7 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Fund. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
