Marvin Glenwood Hollenbeck, 83, of Princess Anne Hills, died April 27, 1997, in his home.
Mr. Hollenbeck, a native of Cedar Falls, Iowa, had been a resident of Virginia Beach for 30 years. Mr. Hollenbeck retired as general manager of Sears, Roebuck and Co. in the Tidewater area with 43 years of service. He was a board member of Sovran Bank for 17 years. In addition, he served on the Virginia Wesleyan Presidential Council, won the Virginia Beach Beautification Association Residential Gardening Award for 1991 and was a past active member of Retail Merchants.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Hollenbeck; two sons, Kent Hollenbeck of Fincastle, Va., and Grant Hollenbeck of Richmond; two brothers, Everett Hollenbeck of Naples, Fla., and Harold Hollenbeck of San Francisco; four grandchildren, Kelly and Courtney Hollenbeck, both of O'Fallon, Ill., Brian Hollenbeck of Los Angeles and Susan Hollenbeck of Richmond.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, by the Rev. Jean McDonald. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
