HANNAH R. PORTER

Hannah Riechenthal Porter, 76, of the 100 block of Beverly Avenue, died April 28, 1997, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Porter was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. She was a member of Congregation Beth El in Norfolk and a life member of the Hadassah, Beth El Sisterhood and Hebrew Ladies Charity.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ellis Porter of Norfolk; her daughters, Linda and her husband, Dr. Norman Weiss, of Virginia Beach and Maureen and her husband, Bob Jacobs, of Virginia Beach; a sister, Rose Jaffe and her husband, Joseph, of Norfolk; seven grandchildren, Lisa and her husband, Dr. Kevin Fleishman, of Fort Myers, Fla., Karen and her husband, Dr. Frank Aluisio, of Durham, N.C., Marc Weiss, Jennifer Jacobs and future grandson Richard Olson of Virginia Beach; and four great-grandchildren, Nicolette, Matthew and Tyler Aluisio and Hailey Fleishman.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Arthur Ruberg and Cantor Jacob Tessler. The family will be at 105 Beverly Ave., Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 101 W. Plume Street, Norfolk, Va. 23510 or to Beth El Temple Building Fund. H.D.
