OLLIE N. BAINES

Ollie Mae Norwood Baines, 75, died May 1, 1997.

A native of Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Rosa Davis Norwood and widow of Frank Worth Baines. She was an active member of Suffolk Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a former church secretary and teacher of the G.F. Taylor Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her daughters, Nathalia B. Shifflett of Dyke, Ellen B. Chappell of Suffolk, Kaye N. Webster of Newport News, and Deborah L. Rapoport of Minnetonka, Minn.; her sons, Frank W. Baines Jr. of Hunstville, Ala., and James O. Baines of Hockenheim, Germany; her sisters, June Cranford of Adelphi, Md., and Helen Goodman of Miami Lakes, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Suffolk Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Charles Chappell and the Rev. Norwood Starling with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and other times at 117 Clay St. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
