HENRY T. POWELL SR.

Henry Thomas Powell Sr., of the 500 block of Waters Road, died April 28, 1997, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

Born in Norfolk, he was a member of Samuels Chapel Holiness Church, Moyock, N.C, and the deacon board. He was a retired assembly man for the Ford Motor Co.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Powell; two daughters, Diana Powell of Chesapeake, Paulette Gibson of Virginia Beach; two sons, Henry T. Powell Jr. of Chesapeake, Adam Murdock Powell of Chesapeake; mother, Priscilla Powell; two sisters, Annette Lewis and Theresa Lewis, both of Norfolk; two brothers, Lewis Powell and William Powell, both of Chesapeake; and nine grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted Sunday in Samuels Chapel Holiness Church, Moyock, N.C., by Elder Lil Joe Powell Jr. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. The family will assemble Saturday at the residence at 11:45 a.m. for the procession.
