SHERRI L. SANDEFUR

Sherri Lynne Sandefur,``Cherished One'', 22, of the 1700 block of Rowlock Court, died May 1, 1997, in Richmond.

Miss Sandefur was born in Lynchburg, Va. and was a full-time student at Louise Obici School of Nursing and was to be a graduate with honors as a registered nurse on June 13, 1997. She had planned to achieve her BSN from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Epilepsy Foundation of America and National Student Nurses Association Inc.

Survivors include her parents, Ronnie D. and Janice Grimsley Sandefur of Chesapeake; a sister and brother-in-law, Tammi R. and Bryan N. Yates of Portsmouth; a brother, Kevin P. Sandefur of Chesapeake; maternal grandmother, Mandy R. Grimsley of Chesapeake; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James L. Sandefur Jr. of Highview, W.Va.; aunts, uncles and cousins that loved her very much.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Faith Baptist Church by the Rev. Carlton Smith. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
