Verlie Perry Brown, 77, of the 3000 block of N.C. 45 North, died May 2, 1997, in Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A homemaker, she was a native of Bertie County and was a member of Colerain Baptist Church, Colerain, and a member of Edgewood Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include her husband, Tildon Everett Brown; three daughters, Janet Gull of Norfolk, Peggy Nichols and Susan Brinkley, both of Ahoskie; son, Perry C. Brown of Colerain; sister, Hazel B. Taylor of Colerain; and six grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Hillcrest Cemetery, Colerain, by the Revs. Shelby Stephens and Ronald McSwain. Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
