WILLIAM R. HORTON SR.

William ``Nink'' Robert Horton Sr., 42, of the 700 block of Hunters Bridge Road, who was an accomplished musician who gave of his talents for numerous local charities throughout his career, died May 2, 1997, in a local hospital.

A native of Portsmouth, he is survived by his wife, Sandra D. Horton; four sons, William R. Horton Jr., James Lee Horton, Corey A. Horton and Dexter A. Horton, all of Chesapeake; father, James M. Horton Sr. of Chesapeake; three sisters, Linda M. Mosher, Shirley A. Branham, both of Chesapeake, and Deborah E. Ferry of Florida; brother, James M. Horton Jr. of Chesapeake; grandson, Zyon Horton of Chesapeake; granddaughter, Ciara D. Horton of San Diego, Calif.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Robert Sowder. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park.
