ORETHA B. GORNTO

Oretha Brinn Gornto, 86, of the 4700 block of Poolside Road, went to be with the Lord May 4, 1997, in Sentara Bayside Hospital.

Mrs. Gornto was born in Bath, N.C., and was the widow of Albert Brooks Gornto. She attended Calvary Baptist Church and was retired as a switchboard operator for Lake Taylor Hospital, City of Norfolk.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Gornto Foster and her husband, William I. Foster Jr., of Virginia Beach, and Nancy Gornto Dailey of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Albert Brooks Gornto Jr.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norview Chapel, by the Rev. Ernest Roebuck. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
