On April 26, the Revco Drug Store in the 3300 block of Taylor Road was robbed.

At 7:05 p.m., a man approached a clerk who was counting money. He asked the clerk for change and then pulled out a small silver handgun. He demanded all the money and also demanded checks and money stored under the cash register drawer.

The suspect is described as black, in his 20s, 6 feet tall and 200 pounds.

About 40 mail boxes were vandalized in the southern part of the city over the weekend of April 5 and 6.

Taft Road and the Pleasant Ridge and Oak Rider subdivisions were the hardest hit.

In one case, a mailbox was thrown through the windshield of a truck in the 3100 block of Rebecca Drive.

On April 17 at 6 a.m., Rudolph Stewart Jr. was killed in front of his home in the Diamond Springs area.

Stewart, a city employee, was shot before getting into his vehicle, which was parked in front of his house in the 5500 block of Aurora Drive. He died at the scene.

A person was seen sitting in a car behind Stewart's. The car is described as a two-door, blue/gray or dark-colored Toyota or Honda. It was seen heading down Aurora Drive toward Janke Road.

Shortly after midnight on April 10, a man, 20, was shot while in the Twin Canal section of the city.

He was trying to start his car near the intersection of Bowsprit Circle and Tug Boat Road. Three men drove by in a late-model, white, Mazda MPV van with 30-day tags. They offered to jump start his car.

Two men got out of the van. One of them shot the victim in the chest and took his gold necklace. The other man may have walked into a nearby apartment building.

The gunman is described as black with a light complexion, 23, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 165 pounds. He had short black hair and a slight beard.

The other two men were black and in their 20s.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is recovering.

On Feb. 20, about 12:30 p.m., High Street Pawns, in the 3600 block of High St., was robbed by two men armed with a handgun.
