MELBA S. POOLE

Melba S. Poole, 76, of Snead Fairway, died May 3, 1997, in Nags Head, N.C.

Born in Dunn, N.C., she was the widow of Freeman L. Poole Sr. She was a member of Gateway Freewill Baptist Church since 1947.

Survivors include three sons, Freeman L. Poole Jr. and his wife, Debra, of Nags Head, N.C., Stephen A. Poole and his wife, Tara A., of Norfolk, David W. Poole and his wife, Julie L., of Gloucester; a sister, Christine Tew of Roseboro, N.C.; five grandchildren, Lee Poole, Chris Poole, Tyler Poole, Courtney Poole and Derek Poole; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Dale Burden. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
