Roger C. Counce Sr., 85, of Nottaway St. died May 5, 1997, in his home.
A retired electrician for Norfolk Naval Shipyard with 22 years service, he was the widower of Idell K. Counce. He was a Methodist and a native of Union, Maine.
Survivors include his son, Roger C. Counce Jr.; sister, Dorothy M. Ranta of Thomaston, Maine.
A graveside service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday by the Rev. G.C. Shepherd in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. with a memorial service to be conducted by the Rev.
