WILLIAM T. MOORE

William Thomas ``Willie'' Moore, 84, of the 3600 block of Ferry Road, died May 7, 1997, in a Portsmouth hospital.

A native of Newport News, he was retired from Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base and was an active and founding member of Simonsdale Presybterian Church, Portsmouth.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret S. Moore; a daughter, Janice E. Hathcock and her husband, David, of Richmond; a son, Ronald T. Moore and his wife, Norma, of Hampton; two sisters, Mollie Dobson of Chesapeake, Della M. Mellier of Virginia Beach; a grandchild, Bryan Moore and a great-grandchild, Stephanie Moore.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, by the Rev. Matt Matthews. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Simonsdale Presbyterian Church. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
