Eighteen Albemarle residents have been arrested in a city police ``sting'' operation in the Bell and Harney streets area.
All were arrested for attempted purchase of cocaine Friday evening. The drug bust was a joint effort by the Elizabeth City Police Department and Pasquotank County Sheriff's Department.
Arrested on the cocaine charge were George Aydlett, 32, of Hertford; Vance Johnson, 37, of Grandy; and William Moore, 36; Patricia Brickhouse, 21; Tammy Lewis, 30; Terri Ward, 34; Thomas Davis, 18; Deborah Cutrell, 26; Gregory Vanhorn, 37; Ronzie Stokley, 33; Jessie Trotman, 36; Willie Swain, 45; Snody Slade, 38; Timothy Pierce, 31; Juanita McDaniels, 42; Sharon Bazemore, 38; Phillip Smith, 29; and Tony Meads, 27; all of Elizabeth City.
