Denny Hartwell Fry, 56, of the 4400 block of Silverleaf Drive, died in his residence May 8, 1997.
Mr. Fry, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, was born in Wytheville, Va. He was employed as a security systems specialist with Mosler Corp. for the past 33 years. He was a member of the Chapel of Good Shepherd, Oceana Naval Air Station.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ballard Fry, and two daughters, Debra Fry and Denise Fry, all of Virginia Beach; a stepdaughter, Bobbi Sawyers of Virginia Beach; two stepsons, Douglas Buck of Virginia Beach and Paul Buck of Midlothian, Va.; his mother, Hazel V. Talley, and brother, Jerald E. Fry, both of Danville, Va.; a sister, Della Sue Moss of Chatham, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. today in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, by Chaplain Thomas Chadwick. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 16, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, Oceana Naval Air Station.
