John A. ``Buster'' Mayfield, 85, of Carver Circle, died May 7, 1997.
He was retired from the Naval Air Station after 30 years of service. He was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Arrington; a nephew, Samuel Cole; and a niece, Mary Ella Anderson; a special and devoted friend for 40 years and a wealth of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Olive Branch Baptist Church by the Rev. J.B. Sharpe. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Fisher Funeral Home at 6 p.m. Sunday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
