LOEWENBERG APPOINTED TO LAW LIBRARIANS ASSOCIATION: Nancy Loewenberg, a law librarian at Willcox & Savage, was appointed to the board of directors of the Virginia Association of Law Librarians. She has over 20 years of information experience and has been with Willcox & Savage since 1991.

HORTON APPOINTED TO MCV FACULTY: Dr. Charles E. Horton was appointed to the faculty of the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond with the academic rank of clinical professor of surgery. He has served the local medical community as director of the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine, associate dean and director of continuing medical education, associate dean for clinical science relations and professor and chairman of the department of plastic surgery. He will continue his practice of plastic surgery in Norfolk.

VIRGINIA BEACH

FLYNN NAMED DISTRICT YMCA VICE PRESIDENT: Tom Flynn was named district vice president for the Mount Trashmore and Virginia Beach YMCA's. He previously served as branch executive for the YMCA in Rochester, N.Y.

SPITZLI ELECTED PRESIDENT OF LEGAL ADMINISTRATOR ASSOCIATION: Jacqueline A. Spitzli of the Virginia Beach Commonwealth Attorney's Office was elected president of the Hampton Roads chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators.

CHESAPEAKE BAY ACADEMY ELECTS TRUSTEES: Dr. Joseph R. Newton, a cardiothoracic surgeon with Mid-Atlantic Cardiothoracic Surgeons and Dennis R. Deans, a partner with the accounting firm of McPhillips, Lieland & Deans, were appointed new trustees to the board of Chesapeake Bay Academy, a not-for-profit school dedicated to specialized learning needs, including those of the gifted and talented.
