Shirley Strong Dunbar, 68, died Saturday May 10, 1997, in Wakefield, Va.
Mrs. Dunbar, a native of Quincy, Ill., was a homemaker, a Methodist and a member of the Order of The Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Edward S. Dunbar; a daughter, Marcille D. Rollings and husband, Leonard, of Wakefield; a son, Edward S. Dunbar Jr. and wife, Lila, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; mother, Margaret K. Strong of Salisbury, Md.; a sister, Norma Bradley and husband, Drexel, of Salisbury; three grandchildren, Edward S. Dunbar III of Ewa Beach, Carrie Dawn Kruger and Christopher Strong Rollings, both of Wakefield; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wakefield Cemetery, with the Rev. Randy Duncan officiating. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad, Waverly, Va. 23890 or the Wakefield Volunteer Fire Dept., Wakefield, Va. 23888.
