Norfolk Officer D.W. Ireland stands with his dog, Britt, during the

Police Officers' Memorial Day services Monday.

Single roses were given to survivors of police officers killed in

the line of duty during Monday's memorial day services at the Public

Safety Building in downtown Norfolk. Since 1904, 33 officers died
